What do you do?

We specialise in creating premium functional tech and lifestyle accessories for those who value quality, craftsmanship and design.

Why did you contact us? What problems were you experiencing?

I started the business 8 years ago with my co-founder. At the time we were Officers in the CID. We couldn’t find the phone cases we wanted, so we created them. It originally began as a hobby starting with a single product and subsequently TORRO has expanded rapidly now serving hundreds of thousands of fans every year. We remain an organically grown, independent company who are able to keep prices accessible by cutting out the middleman and shipping directly to you without any retail or distribution margins. Whilst we had a strong understanding of e-commerce, finance, logistics and operations were a mystery.

Through a local enterprise program, I was lucky enough to be a mentee of Andy and when that program finished we realised there was great synergy between us and when the opportunity arose I jumped at the chance to work with Andy due to his track record in business having held senior executive positions within luxury retail and sportswear distribution.

In the first few years of trading the business grew rapidly and took us on a rapid learning curve but it became abundantly clear that more rigorous financial processes and budgets were required to assist with growth planning and product expansion.
